Inside the AVIC Elite single-lens (forward-facing video recording only) box you will find your camera and a few
accessories, including 1 clear windshield mounting bracket with 3M adhesive, a spare 3M adhesive pad, 3 cable
clips, the hard-wire cable and a key for your tamper-proof memory card cover.
Inside the dual-lens (forward-facing and inside-facing video recording) box you will find your main camera and
accessories; including 1 infrared illumination module, 1 clear mount with 3M adhesive, a spare 3M adhesive, a
key to lock down your memory card, 3 adhesive cable management clips and the hard-wire cable.
The single lens version offers you a great view of the road ahead in Full HD 1080p, while the dual lens model
offers the same front camera, but also an internal IR camera that captures the entire cabin @ 720p HD, even at
night using the supplied IR illumination module.
A full-size SD memory card is included with the AVIC Elite. You can choose either a 32, 64, or 128gb card,
depending on your specific business needs. The largest capacity card (128gb) will provide between 23 and 46
hours worth of video storage, depending on quality and resolution settings.
Featuring CMOS 4MP image sensors for Full HD 1080p in the front camera with a viewing angle of 125 degrees, and
a 2MP 720p lens with 149 degree viewing angle for the inside camera. Doubling their resolution is a huge step up
for our #1 selling fleet dashcam solution!
One thing you may notice about the AVIC Elites is the power cord is built-in to the dashcam. This model does not
come with a cigarette lighter outlet plug; instead the wire harness is intended to be connected directly to the
vehicle's electrical system. This built-in wire harness prevents someone from stopping the dashcam by simply
unplugging the power cord (from either the camera itself, or from the power outlet).
This connection point is intended to be hidden behind the vehicle headliner during installation. Business owners: rest assured, your dash cams will always be rolling with the AVIC Elites. Since there is no power on/off switch on the camera itself, once properly installed, video and audio recording will take place anytime the vehicle is in use.

Another noticeable and perhaps best / most distinguishing feature of the AVIC Elite is the lockable memory card
cover. This lock and key feature ensure only authorized access to the memory card, which prevents tampering with
the recordings on the memory card. If you have someone else driving a vehicle you own, or are worried about
others seeing your own recordings, this feature is indispensable.
You will always know that no matter what happens, you will have proof of what took place with your vehicle. Only the physical key holder will be able to access or view the videos.

Installation is simple, you only need to clean a spot near the center of the windshield and attach the clear
mounting bracket, then slide the camera into place. You can adjust the camera lens up or down to adapt to any
windshield angle, even those on heavy-duty vehicles that are completely vertical.
The onboard microphone ensures you capture audio inside the cabin, along with video. Audio recording can be
disabled, if necessary.
The AVIC Elite Dual Lens version comes with an infrared illumination module that can be used to enhance the
"night vision" of the inside-facing camera lens. This module attaches to the bottom of the dashcam and serves to
“light up” the interior of the vehicle at night.
Since the module uses infrared (IR) LED lights, the light from the night vision module is invisible to the naked eye, but not to the inside-facing camera lens. In the videos, you'll notice you can see what the driver is doing, even in pitch black.

There is no display screen to distract your driver, only a few LED lights to indicate proper operation. Next to
the LED lights, there is a convenient "Event" button to let you or your drivers quickly and easily "tag" a file
of interest as an “event recording” which makes it a simple process to find that recording during playback
later. This might be useful in the case of witnessing an accident, for example.
The AVIC Elites include built-in GPS antennas which log the vehicle’s speed and position at all times. The
vehicle’s GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) and speed (both MPH and KMH) are displayed at the bottom of
all video files that are recorded to the memory card. Using the memory card to playback the files later on your
PC, the AVIC software will also display the vehicle’s position on a map.
Optionally, a predetermined speed limit can be programmed into the Elites so that your drivers will be audibly
alerted if they exceed that limit, which helps cultivate safe driving habits. This can really save your company
money over time, in terms of lower fuel costs but perhaps more importantly, with a lower overall risk of
accidents.
Also new with the 2018 Elite models is optional WiFi! If you choose the WiFi-capable model, you'll have the
ability to use your smartphone to connect directly to the dashcam, (when you’re in close proximity to the
vehicle). When connected via WiFi, You can do things like check the live view of the lenses to ensure they're
pointed correctly (helpful during installation), playback videos from the memory card (perhaps to show proof of
fault to a police officer at the scene of an accident), copy specific videos to your smartphone (for instant
preservation purposes), or simply to modify the dashcam configuration.
The AVIC Elites are a huge step up from their previous generation of field-proven View-i models. Now offering
1080p vs 720p for the front camera, and 720p vs 480i for the interior IR camera. More resolution means more
detail in your videos, in case of an accident or incident.
The Elite’s now also accept up to 128GB memory cards as opposed to just 64GB.
Another improvement AVIC has added is what’s called format-free technology, which basically ups the efficiency on the read/write cycles of the card, so you don’t need to format every month – with this, your dashcams can be deployed in the field for about a year without having to pull the memory card for maintenance.
The engineers at AVIC have also shrunk the size of the attachable IR illumination module, making it half the size for a much lower profile design.
Finally, is the optional WiFI connectivity I just mentioned which is another improvement over the previous generation of AVIC fleet dashcams.

(Uber/Lyft) vehicles, and can even be used for parents of new drivers. With improved resolution, industry-proven
reliability and excellent affordability, the AVIC Elites are a wise investment that will keep your people and
