What is BlackVue Over the Cloud? BlackVue Over the Cloud combines state-of-the-art dashcam technology with cloud ubiquity to make the most out of your BlackVue dashcam. Video backup, real-time GPS-tracking, alarm, the possibilities are endless. BlackVue Over the Cloud is all about using your dashcam to its full potential, so that you and your car are always connected.

How does it work? Taking advantage of a mobile or car-embedded Internet connection (WiFi hotspot) and a BlackVue dashcam, BlackVue Over the Cloud connects you to your car through the Cloud. Using the BlackVue App on your smartphone or tablet, you see in real time where your car is located and what is happening around it. On LTE-built-in models, such as the DR770X-2CH-LTE there is no need for a separate WiFi hotspot since these models have a 4G-LTE cellular modem built-in. Simply provide your own SIM card, turn it on and connect effortlessly!
Plug-in Connectivity Always know what is happening with your vehicle. The CM100LTE connects to your compatible BlackVue dashcam (DR900X/970X Series and DR750X/770X Series) to provide no-hassle and reliable 4G LTE connectivity. Simply insert a valid Nano SIM card and connect the CM100LTE via the USB port of your dashcam: no extra wiring required. The module is powered by the BlackVue dashcam and automatically accesses the Cloud when the module is plugged in. No need to worry about the module running out of power when parked.

Data Consumption (estimates)

Remote Live View
When you access Remote Live View from your BlackVue dashcam over the Cloud, your dashcam streams data to the Cloud server, which is then sent to your device. Use the table below to assess your data needs, based on your Live View usage estimate. To take best advantage of BlackVue Over the Cloud–including Parking Mode Notifications–the use of a dedicated mobile router is recommended. Most users can get started with a 4GB data plan from their local mobile operator.

Live Event Upload
Live Event Upload saves a real-time video feed from your cameras to the Cloud in case of Event (Manually triggered or triggered by the impact sensor). This allows to keep some evidence even in case of theft, as the camera saves the Event to the Cloud in real time in addition to the full resolution video saved on the microSD card.

Backup / Playback
When you access Remote Live View from your BlackVue dashcam over the Cloud, your dashcam streams data to the Cloud server, which is then sent to your device. Unlike Remote Live View, which uses a video feed optimized for streaming, Video Backup and Playback use the original video files stored by the dashcam on the microSD card. You can use the table below to get an understanding of the amount of data needed to back up video files or play back a recorded video.

Smart Plan is targeted at individual users, offering unlimited Remote Live View time and unlimited video playback and downloads over the Cloud. Fleet Plan unlocks BlackVue Fleet Tracking exclusive features for power-users and businesses alike. This table shows the features available under each BlackVue Cloud account tier.
