Introducing the M1 motorsports dashcam from Thinkware! This 2-channel (dual lens) system records from the front *and* rear of your bike, motorcycle, ATV, UTV, side-by-side, drift car, or practically any other vehicle where having waterproof front and rear cameras is important. Perfect for your Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Honda or Ducati, or even your Can Am, Polaris RZR or golf cart. The possibilities are endless!
The beauty of the M1 dashcam is the separate components that make up the kit. Not everything is one big and bulky unit that you have to figure out how to work around. With the M1, you have compact camera modules (one for front and one for rear, although technically they can be pointed in any direction you desire), a processor box which contains the memory card and power connections, and a remote control module for full manual control.
The M1 is WiFi-capable which allows you to use your Android or iOS device to view live video and captured video footage, copy important videos to your phone, change settings, and more, all without needing to remove the memory card from the main M1 processing module. Just connect to the M1's WiFi network, fire up the free Thinkware mobile app, and enjoy!
Thinkware's M1 also has built-in GPS to log your position and speed at all times. This can be handy to document your whereabouts or provide evidence in case you need to combat an unjust speeding ticket.
The M1 also has a built-in g-sensor for sensing big impacts, and a remote control with built-in microphone, manual recording (event 'trigger') button and WiFi on/off button.
Did we mention the M1 is waterproof? With an IP rating of 66, the M1 is completely impervious to dirt and dust, and can withstand powerful jets of water striking the components, with no ill effects. This offers immense peace of mind and flexibility, since you can place the cameras wherever you like in and around your bike or ATV, and you'll know they will survive and record your journeys. Pretty neat stuff!
Thinkware's M1 differs from a GoPro because its viewing angle is optimized for the road. The M1 also has front and rear cameras for simultaneous dual-channel recording, and the M1 can be hardwired to the vehicle’s battery so you don’t have to worry about constantly recharging and switching batteries. The M1 offers stabilized video recording with Electronic Image Stabilization and automatic start up and shut down. Thanks to the Sony STARVIS Image Sensors with Super Wide Dynamic Range and Super Night Vision 2.0, the M1 captures brighter and clearer images in the dark than the competitors.
