Dashcam Bounty Theater Presents: Act II

Dashcam Catches Valet Driver Damage Car. Trust? Betrayed.

This dashcam video footage is brought to you thanks to Pedro C. of Doha, Qatar, a BlackVue owner and part of the international dashcam community. Pedro submitted his dashcam footage to us through our Video Bounty Program.

How often do you use a valet service? Whether you want to save yourself some time driving laps around the city looking for a parking lot before a dinner reservation or save yourself the stress of parking in general, choosing to have your vehicle valet parked definitely has its perks.

Do you have a dashcam monitoring your vehicle when a valet driver is parking your car for you? Pedro does, and his story shows why having a dashcam when someone else is driving your car can save the day when you need it most.

Can you set the scene for us?

"I went to Novo Cinema here in Doha, Qatar and used their valet service there which they charge around $5. After I got back the car from the valet I went home and only when I arrived at home I realized my front side lower splitter was damaged badly. No one mentioned anything about the situation."

How did the situation get resolved?

"After reviewing the recorded BlackVue files I saw what happened and the day after I went back to the Cinema and showed the video to the manager there. After watching the video the manager told me that they would pay for the replacement of the front splitter.

"If it wasn't for the video I wouldn't be able to prove what had happened. The replacement cost $500."

We understand that accidents happen. With that being said, the valet service responsible for the splitter damage should be held accountable and should be responsible for paying for the $500 replacement splitter. This BlackVue dashcam footage was able to give Pedro the irrifutable evidence that he needed to be reimbursed for the $500 of damage done to his car.

A dashcam saves the day, again.
