The VIOFO OP100 is designed to power dashcams and mobile devices through the vehicle’s OBD-II port. Compared to common in-car power options like the cigarette lighter socket and hardwiring, offering several clear advantages.
This bundle includes an 11.5 ft VIOFO USB-C cable. Note: while any USB cable can power the dashcam, the camera will stay on continuously and will not enter parking mode. To enable parking mode, the VIOFO power cable must be used.
Easy Installation
Plug-and-play installation couldn’t be easier. Just connect the constant power cable to your vehicle’s OBD-II port and plug it into your VIOFO dashcam. This allows your dashcam to receive continuous power, even when the vehicle is turned off.
The OP100 also provides a more discreet wiring solution than a cigarette lighter connection, helping keep your interior clean and organized without exposed cables.
Note: The location of the OBD-II port in a vehicle can vary slightly depending on the vehicle's make and model.
Dual Output Ports
The OP100 includes two output ports, with one prioritized for powering the dashcam. The additional Type-C port is a convenient extra for charging a mobile device.
Adjustable Power Switch
The ON/OFF switch offers easy control of the dashcam's power supply, saving energy and preventing vehicle battery damage.
Parking Recording Time Switch
The time switch, offering three options (3h/24h/∞), controls the OBD power supply
duration after the dashcam enters parking mode. When the time expires, it will automatically cut off the
power.
Note: ∞ indicates that it provides continuous power supply.
Parking Mode Support
(Requires Optional Parking Mode Cable)
For dashcams, the OBD cable offers a simpler and more convenient method for parking-mode recording over the conventional fuse box hardwiring. After the car is turned off, the cable can provide continuous power, enabling the dashcam to enter parking monitoring mode seamlessly.
Low Voltage Protection
The constant power cable helps protect your vehicle’s battery by shutting down within 90 seconds if it detects the voltage has dropped below 12V/24V. This helps prevent battery drain and ensures your vehicle can start normally.
